Driven Wisdom

Toasts

  • To life.
  • To absent friends.
  • Pilots we've known.
  • Some might say he was the best of us.
  • Eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow we die.
  • Here’s to staying positive and testing negative.
  • May our sons have rich fathers and beautiful mothers.
  • To all good people, gone too soon. May we remember them.
  • Here's to your love, health, and wealth. And time to enjoy each.
  • Tonight we remember those who gave their blood to defend this country.
  • May you be in Heaven a full half hour before the Devil knows you're dead.
  • Now let us sit and drink and make us merry and afterward we will his body bury.
  • May the best day you have seen in your past be worse than your worst day yet to come.
  • Here’s to those who’ve seen us at our best and seen us at our worst and can’t tell the difference.

To good friends,

new and old.

Time cuts down all,

both great and small.

To absent friends,

in memory still bright.

To sweethearts and wives,

May they never meet.

May we get what we want,

but never what we deserve.

Live a long and happy life.

Or die tying.

RIP my brothers and sisters.

We have the watch.

May the roof above never fall in.

And may we below never fall out.

Let us lift our glasses and drink a toast,

that they may abide in our hearts forever.

If there's another world, he lives in bliss.

If there is none, he made the best of this.

To new friends: Welcome.

To old friends: May they always find their way back to us.

RIP shipmates.

Fair winds and following seas.

We have the watch.

To those that were lost.

To those that were found.

To those who stayed with us.

And to those we never knew.

Tonight we join hands with,

Those who would be with us but can't,

Those who could be with us but won't,

And those who were here but who left.

Here's to a long life and a merry one.

A quick death and an easy one.

A pretty girl and an honest one.

A cold beer and another one!

There are good ships,

There are wood ships,

The ships that sail to sea,

But the best ships are friendships,

And forever may they be.

To absent friends,

To those we have met,

To those we have yet to meet,

To those who have left us for a while,

And to those who have left us forever.

Slàinte mhaith.             Good health.

Do dheagh shlainte.    To your good health.
