Driven Wisdom

Songs

Undone

Now there's no more shouting and no more tears,

Just the fatal words ringing in our ears.

And in the silence it's crystal clear,

There's no undoing what has happened here.

Ninety Nine Red Balloons

If I could find a souvenir,

Just to prove the world was here,

And here is a red balloon,

I think of you, and let it go.

Ninety Nine Problems

If you're having girl problems I feel bad for you son.

I got ninety nine problems but a bitch ain't one.

Down Among the Dead Men

Come, let us drink it while we have breath,

For there's no drinking after death.

Buckets of Rain

Buckets of rain, buckets of tears,

Got all them buckets coming out of my ears.

Stairway to Heaven

Yes, there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run,

There's still time to change the road you're on.

Abide With Me

Swift to its close ebbs out life's little day,

Earth's joys grow dim, its glories pass away.

That's All

Just as I thought it was going alright

I find out I'm wrong, when I thought I was right

It's always the same, it's just a shame, that's all

Time

You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today.

And then one day you find ten years have got behind you.

No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun.

Sweet Dreams

Sweet dreams 'till sun beams find you.

Sweet dreams that leave your worries behind you.

But in your dreams whatever they be.

Dream a little dream of me.

You are my Sunshine

The other night dear as I lay sleeping,

I dreamed I held you in my arms.

When I awoke dear I was mistaken,

and I hung my head and cried.

You are my sunshine, my only sunshine.

You make me happy when skys are grey.

You'll never know dear how much I love you.

Please don't take my sunshine away.

All Night Long

Well, my friends, the time has come,

To raise the roof and have some fun,

Throw away the work to be done,

And let the music play on and on.

Both Sides Now

Don’t the hours grow shorter as the days go by,

We never get to stop and open our eyes,

One minute you’re waiting for the sky to fall,

The next you’re dazzled by the beauty of it all.

I’ve looked at clouds from both sides now,

From up and down, and still somehow,

It’s cloud illusions I recall,

I really don’t know clouds at all.

Here For You

When your summer days come tumbling down

And you find yourself alone

Then you can come back and be with me

Just close your eyes and I'll be there

Listen to the sound

Of this old heart beating for you

Yes I'd miss you

But I never want to hold you down

You might say I'm here for you

When the winter comes to your new home

And snowflakes are falling down

Then you can come back and be with me

Just close your eyes and I'll be there

Listen to the sound

Of this old heart beating for you

Yes I'd miss you

But I never want to hold you down

You might say I'm here for you

In the spring, protective arms surrounding you

In the fall, we let you go your way

Happiness I know will always find you

And when it does, I hope that it will stay

Yes I miss you

But I never want to hold you down

You might say I'm here for you

Yes I miss you

But I never want to hold you down

You might say I'm here for you

I'll always be here for you

Everybody Knows

Everybody knows that the dice are loaded

Everybody rolls with their fingers crossed

Everybody knows that the war is over

Everybody knows the good guys lost

Everybody knows the fight was fixed

The poor stay poor, the rich get rich

That's how it goes

Everybody knows...

Deep in the Heart of Texas

The stars at night are big and bright

Deep in the heart of Texas

The prairie sky is wide and high

Deep in the heart of Texas

The Inner Light

Without going out of my door

I can know all things on earth

Without looking out of my window

I could know the ways of heaven

Danny Boy

Oh Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling

From glen to glen, and down the mountain side

The summer's gone, and all the flowers are dying

'Tis you, 'tis you must go and I must bide.

But come ye back when summer's in the meadow

Or when the valley's hushed and white with snow

'Tis I'll be here in sunshine or in shadow

Oh Danny boy, oh Danny boy, I love you so.

And if you come, when all the flowers are dying

And I am dead, as dead I well may be

You'll come and find the place where I am lying

And kneel and say an "Ave" there for me.

And I shall hear, tho' soft you tread above me

And all my dreams will warm and sweeter be

If you'll not fail to tell me that you love me

I'll simply sleep in peace until you come to me.

I'll simply sleep in peace until you come to me.

Donald Where's Your Troosers

I just down from the Isle of Skye

I'm no' very big an' I'm awful shy

All the lassies shout as I walk by,

"Donald, where's your troosers?"

Let the wind blow high and the wind blow low

Through the streets in ma kilt I go

All the lassies cry, "Hello!

Donald, where's your troosers?"

A lassie took me tae a ball

It was slippery in the hall

I was afeared that I may fall

For I had nae on mae troosers

I went down to London town

To have a little fun in the underground

All the ladies turned their heads around, saying,

"Donald, where's your troosers?"

The lassies love me every one

Jess' let them catch me if they can

For ye cannae put the breeks on a hielan' man, saying,

"Donald, where's your trousers?"

I had a cold and mae nose was raw

I had nae handkerchief and a'

So I lifted up ma kilt jus' to give it a blaw

"Whew! Donald, where's your troosers?"

Tae wear the kilt is ma delight

And it no' be wrong. I know it's right

How the folks back home would get afright

If they saw me wearin' troosers!

Sweet Child O' Mine

She's got a smile that it seems to me

Reminds me of childhood memories

Where everything was as fresh as the bright blue sky

Now and then when I see her face

She takes me away to that special place

And if I stared too long

I'd probably break down and cry

Oh, sweet child o' mine

Oh, sweet love of mine

She's got eyes of the bluest skies

As if they thought of rain

I hate to look into those eyes

And see an ounce of pain

Her hair reminds me of a warm safe place

Where as a child I'd hide

And pray for the thunder and the rain

To quietly pass me by

Oh, sweet child o' mine

Oh, sweet love of mine

Oh, sweet child o' mine

Oh, sweet love of mine

Oh, sweet child o' mine

Oh, sweet love of mine

Where do we go

Where do we go now

Where do we go

Where do we go

Where do we go now

Where do we go

Sweet child

Where do we go now

Where do we go

Where do we go now

Where do we go

Where do we go now

Where do we go

Where do we go now

Sweet child

Sweet child o' mine

Parting Glass

Of all the money that e'er I had

I've spent it in good company

And all the harm that e'er I've done

Alas it was to none but me

And all I've done for want of wit

To memory now I can't recall

So fill to me the parting glass

Good night and joy be with you all

Of all the comrades that e'er I had

They are sorry for my going away

And all the sweethearts that e'er I had

They would wish me one more day to stay

But since it falls unto my lord

That I should rise and you should not

I'll gently rise and I'll softly call

Good night and joy be with you all

A man may drink and not be drunk

A man may fight and not be slain

A man may court a pretty girl

And perhaps be welcomed back again

But since it has so ordered been

By a time to rise and a time to fall

Come fill to me the parting glass

Goodnight and joy be with you all

Goodnight and joy be with you all

Way Down in the Mine

Where it's dark as a dungeon, damp as the dew

Danger is double, pleasures are few

Where the rain never falls, the sun never shines

It's dark as a dungeon way down in the mine

Que Sera, Sera

Que sera, sera,

Whatever will be, will be,

The future's not ours to see,

Que sera, sera,

What will be, will be.

Auld Lang Syne

Should auld acquaintance be forgot,

and never brought to mind?

Should auld acquaintance be forgot,

and auld lang syne?

For auld lang syne, my jo,

for auld lang syne,

we'll tak' a cup o' kindness yet,

for auld lang syne.

Blue Moon

With no one to stay up for,

I went to sleep at ten,

Life was a bitter cup,

For the saddest of all men.

Blue moon you saw me standing alone,

Without a dream in my heart,

Without a love of my own.
